The 2025 Mother's & Father's Day Gift Guides

This is a fun one.

I decided to do a joint gift guide for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, 1) because I felt like it, and 2) because I think a lot of these gift ideas would be perfect for any parent, mom or dad (if I do say so myself). That being said, it’s still separated out parentally just to make it easier for everyone.

As with every Gatekeeping gift guide, this one is a labor of love. Whether you’re shopping for your own parents or another mom and dad figure in your life, I hope these gift ideas will bring a smile to their face this year.

(Btw: I looked back at last year’s guides and both are still pretty great. Find Mother’s Day here and Father’s Day here.)

Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Great Big Beautiful Life, by Emily Henry
Anyone who needs a good rom-com in their life to wind down with before bed needs the latest from Emily Henry (released just yesterday!!). I pre-ordered my copy and can’t wait to read it.

Beis Sport Tote, $98
Even if they’re overwhelmed with tote bags, they might need one more: This one from Beis has a secret extra mesh pocket on the outside of the bag that’s designed to hold a soccer ball, yoga mat, or other athletic-related item. A really smart design feature that’s great for team moms and yogis alike.

Cann Roadies, $36 for 12-pack
Whether they’ve gone non-alc or just need an extra bit of bliss, these THC- and CBD-infused packets will help them relax after long kid days. And the little packets are really smart—you just open and mix with any bev of your choice.

Blissy Silk Pillowcase, $59
I’m here to tell you: Blissy is the silk pillowcase brand of choice for moms. They come in a zillion colors, they’re super-soft, they help with frizz…I don’t not get it.

Magnolia seed packets, $3.50 each
There’s something really sweet about the idea of kiddos gifting their parents flower seeds. Magnolia offers sweet tomato, basil, sunflowers, and more—but you can swing by your local plant nursery to see what they have on offer too.

Sarah Creal The Adults are Talking Solid Serum Lip Repair Balm, $42
My beauty editor colleague Erica Metzger (a mom herself!) is a fan of this lip balm and recommended it to me, and I’m almost done with my tube. It’s a good antidote to all the thicker balms out there right now, and feels fancy enough to give as a gift.

Theraface Depuffing Wand, $149
This is truly a tool they’ll reach for every morning: The cold function is amazing after no-sleep nights, and the warm function feels great on TMJ.

Flamingo Estate Roma Tomato Candle, $60
If you’re gonna go the candle route, it needs to be a really, really good candle. This one feels fancy and special, but also smells fresh and lovely enough that they’ll actually want to use it right away.
